The Learning Bridge Career Institute’s Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) program is a program that will prepare students to work in a clinical setting assisting with various procedures as well as in the office environment.  CMA is a comprehensive program that includes an externship focused on assisting the medical team with recording vital signs, taking medical histories, preparing patient and rooms for examinations, assisting with examinations, and explaining treatments and procedures to patients.  Additionally, students will gain an understanding of disposing of contaminated supplies, sterilize instruments, collect and prepare laboratory specimens, and perform basic laboratory tests.


Along with the externship, students will gain classroom knowledge and develop a skill set in the areas of phlebotomy, EKG, EHR, medical office, medical terminology, and professionalism.  This 600-hour robust program is filled with hands-on simulation, laboratory skills, and creative scenarios that assist in preparing students for the industry. 


Upon completion, students are able to sit for the phlebotomy, Electronic Health Records, CMA, medical office, and EKG.

The Learning Bridge Career Institute’s   Electronic Healthcare Records program uses specialized computer programs and administrative techniques to convey the understanding of the importance of the patient's health record.. Electronic Health Records (EHR) is an important part of the medical record and must be accurate, accessible, and secure. LBCI's EHR program provides students with hands-on applications enforcing strong organizational skills in this fast-growing field. 

Our 722-hour program prepares our graduates to take the Electronic Health Records Specialist certification as well as the CCS, CPC, and the Billing and Coding Specialist certification.  The program includes courses such as anatomy, medical terminology health records, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
